How much does it cost to wrap a car? Real prices in Boca Raton (2026)

A car wrap in Boca Raton can cost as little as a chrome delete on a daily driver or as much as a Signature Wrap in a color-flip film on a full-size SUV, and two quotes for the same car can sit surprisingly far apart. At SERRES Wrap Center we work with fixed, published prices: Chrome Delete $450, a Full Color Change $3,500 and the Signature Wrap $4,500. We wrap cars from Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Pompano Beach, Deerfield Beach and Fort Lauderdale. Below we break down what sits behind each figure, from film grade and disassembly hours to the extra care a car needs under the Florida sun, so you can compare quotes with a clear head.

Car wrap cost by type of job

Most shops answer the price question with a form. We prefer to publish the numbers. This table summarises the wrap work we do at the Boca Raton studio and what each level covers:

Type of jobWhat it includesSERRES price
Chrome DeleteWindow trim, grille surround and badges in gloss black, satin or color$450
Full Color ChangeEvery painted panel wrapped, edges wrapped in, 3M 2080 or Avery SW900 in gloss, satin or matte$3,500
Signature WrapFull color change in a premium or color-shift film: Inozetek, KPMF, color-flip$4,500
Roof / accents / customRoof, mirrors, spoiler, stripes and one-off requestson request

The small print. Prices exclude FL sales tax. A published starting price is the real price for a standard sedan in good condition, not bait pricing: a bigger body, deeper disassembly and difficult panels move the figure, and you see the final number before any film is cut. Every wrap carries the manufacturer film warranty plus a 1-year SERRES installation warranty. Booking is secured with a 30% deposit. Wrap work overall: from $450.

The gap between quotes is rarely about the color. It is about the film, the hours of labor and what each shop means by a full wrap. A wrap that stops at the panel edge instead of folding into the door shuts costs less to do, and in a climate with daily heat, afternoon downpours and salt air off the coast, those exposed edges are exactly where the film starts to lift first.

Full Color Change: what the price includes (and what it doesn't)

A well-executed full wrap is not a matter of laying film over the bodywork. A Full Color Change takes from three to four days in our studio, a Signature Wrap from five to seven, and the price has to cover every one of these steps:

  • Complete paint decontamination. Love-bug residue, tree sap, bird droppings and the hard-water spots left by lawn sprinklers all have to come off before the film goes on. Any trace of wax or sap underneath lifts a wrap within months.
  • Trim removal. Door handles, lights, moldings and badges. Wrapping around a part instead of underneath it is visible from a few feet away, and it leaves an edge for heat and rain to work on.
  • Wrapped edges. The film has to fold into the door, hood and tailgate shuts. That is what separates a color change from a commercial graphic, and it is what keeps humidity out from under the film.
  • Post-installation inspection. In our case, a documented panel-by-panel check before the car is handed back.

When a full-wrap quote comes in far below our Full Color Change price, one of these steps is missing. It is usually the disassembly, the wrapped edges or the quality of the film itself. Always ask for the breakdown in writing.

Car wrap cost by film grade: 3M, Avery Dennison and Inozetek

The film is one of the biggest lines in the final price of a full wrap, and not every vinyl is fit to wrap a car:

  • Cast film. The standard for a color change: 3M 2080 series, Avery Dennison Supreme Wrapping Film or Inozetek Super Gloss. It conforms to complex curves without shrinking back, and it carries the maker's outdoor durability rating. In South Florida that rating matters more than anywhere: year-round UV and hood temperatures that climb well past the air temperature shorten the life of any film, and the exact figure depends on the film maker's rating for this climate zone.
  • Calendered film. Made for commercial signage on flat surfaces. It costs a fraction of cast film, but on a curved hood it shrinks, shows seams and fades quickly under Florida sun. If a full-wrap quote is suspiciously low, this is almost always why.
  • Special finishes. Color-flip, satin metallics, brushed and forged-carbon textures cost more per roll and take more hours to lay. That is why the Signature Wrap is a level of its own: $4,500.

In our car wrap service we work only with cast film from 3M (2080 series), Avery Dennison and Inozetek, with more than 150 colors in a physical swatch catalog so you can see them on a real curve in daylight rather than on a screen.

Chrome delete and partial wraps: the cheapest way in

You do not need to wrap the whole car to change its presence. A partial wrap is the most cost-effective way in, and a chrome delete is $450. The pieces we wrap most often:

  • Chrome delete. Window trim, grille surround and badges in gloss black or satin. It is the single change that most modernises a car's outline, and the quickest way to stop a car looking a decade older than it is.
  • Roof. The classic gloss-black or satin roof, and also the panel that takes the most sun in Florida, so the film choice matters.
  • Hood. The second most-requested panel, and the one that meets love bugs and I-95 grit head-on. If protection matters more than color here, PPF is the better tool.
  • Mirror caps. Small, quick and effective in carbon-look or gloss black.
  • Diffuser, splitter and trim. Small pieces that sharpen the lower body.

Anything outside the three published levels — a roof, a set of mirror caps, a spoiler, stripes — is priced on request, because the panel count and the shapes decide the hours. Send us the car and we quote it. A chrome delete is also the sensible way to see how a shop works before trusting it with a full vinyl wrap.

Wrapping the whole car: cost versus a repaint

The comparison almost nobody puts on the table:

  • Quality full repaint: irreversible, keeps the car in the body shop for weeks of prep, paint and cure time, and the car loses its original-paint status at any future appraisal.
  • Full Color Change wrap: $3,500, reversible in a day of work, and the factory paint sits protected underneath the film, shielded from the UV that fades clear coat, from love-bug acid and from sap and sprinkler spotting.

There are two more measurable advantages. The first is lead time: a Full Color Change is delivered in three to four days in the studio, while a proper repaint rarely comes back that quickly. The second is resale: you remove the wrap and hand over the car with its factory paint intact, something a demanding buyer notices immediately. In South Florida, where the sun starts working on an unprotected clear coat from day one, a wrapped car has spent those years with its paint out of the sun.

If your priority is not a new color but protecting the paint from stone chips and road debris, the right tool is PPF: a self-healing polyurethane film, Full Front $1,900 in the Essential tier, covered by the manufacturer film warranty of up to 10 years plus our 1-year installation warranty. Its self-healing topcoat relaxes wash swirls and light scuffs out with the heat of the sun, which in Florida is most of the year. Wrap and PPF are different products for different goals, and it is worth deciding which one you need before asking for a quote.

How to judge a car wrap quote

Five questions that separate a serious quote from a surprise six months later:

  1. Which brand and exact film reference? High-quality vinyl is not an answer. 3M 2080-G12 is.
  2. Are parts removed, or is the film wrapped around them? Ask for it in writing.
  3. Are the edges wrapped? Open a door on a finished car and look for yourself.
  4. What written warranty covers the installation and the film? Ours is the manufacturer film warranty plus one year on the installation. And how does the film maker rate that film for a hot, high-UV zone like South Florida?
  5. Is the figure fixed, or a starting price? Ours start at a published number, every car gets a fixed quote after an in-person inspection, and FL sales tax is shown separately rather than buried.

At SERRES Wrap Center every wrap is done in our own Boca Raton studio, by appointment, a short drive from I-95 and US-1 and within easy reach of Glades Rd, Atlantic Ave and Federal Highway. Each car goes through a documented panel-by-panel inspection before it is handed back, and you can see all current prices on our prices page.

Frequently asked questions about car wrap cost

How long does a car wrap last in Florida?

A cast film from 3M, Avery Dennison or Inozetek is rated by its maker for outdoor use, and that rating is shorter in a hot, high-UV zone like South Florida than in a temperate climate; the exact figure depends on the film and on the maker's rating for this zone. Cheap calendered film shrinks and fades much sooner. Parking under cover and washing by hand extend the life of any film.

Does wrapping a car damage the paint?

No, as long as the paint is factory or a properly cured respray. The adhesive is designed to come off without residue, and the film shields the clear coat from light scratches and UV. On poor-quality resprays there is a real risk of the paint lifting with the film, and a serious shop spots that before starting.

Do I need to tell anyone if I wrap my car a different color?

Tell your insurer about the color change so your policy matches how the car actually looks. A color change can also need to be reported to the state, so ask the FLHSMV or your local tag agency what your registration needs before you drive on it. Both take a few minutes and avoid confusion at a claim or a traffic stop.

How long does it take to wrap a whole car?

From three to four days in the studio for a Full Color Change and from five to seven for a Signature Wrap, depending on disassembly and body complexity. A chrome delete or a roof is usually done in a day. Be wary of anyone promising a full wrap in a day: rushed work shows up at the edges and in bubbles, and a Boca Raton summer finds every one of them.

Can I take a wrapped car through an automatic car wash?

Better not: brushes and rollers punish the edges of the film. Wash by hand with a pH-neutral shampoo, or with a pressure washer kept at least a foot from the panel. In Florida, rinse off love-bug residue, bird droppings and sap as soon as you can, because heat bakes them into any finish, and dry the car after sprinkler contact to avoid hard-water spots.
