SERRES has protected cars in Barcelona since 2023 on one rule: the prep decides the result. Nothing about that changes in Florida. Same protocol, same two films, same refusal to hand a car back early — now in Boca Raton.

The story

One studio.
Two coasts.

How a Barcelona workshop ended up opening an install bay in South Florida — and what came with it.

  1. 2023

    SERRES opens in Barcelona

A wrap and paint-protection studio built around a single conviction: almost every bad film job is a bad prep job. Decontaminate properly, measure the paint before you touch it, keep dust out of the bay — and the film does the rest.

The work that followed was mostly the difficult kind: widebody Porsches, satin wraps over long panels, full-front film. It is all in the gallery, shot in the bay it was finished in.

  2. Today

    The protocol, written down

Not house style — a checklist. Paint thickness gauged at intake, on every panel. Air filtered before it reaches a car. Gloss read before and after correction, so the improvement is a number instead of an opinion. Every stage photographed.

The film list is two: 3M Scotchgard Pro Series 200 and NAR H190. Both self-healing TPU, both with a real manufacturer warranty behind them — one flagship, one that does the same job for less. Cheap TPH film is not on it, and will not be.

  3. 2026

    Boca Raton

Florida asks more of paint than Barcelona does: year-round UV, salt air, love bugs, and rock chips off I-95 and Glades Road. The protocol was built for exactly that kind of punishment, so it crosses the Atlantic intact rather than being rebuilt from scratch.

The exact street address is announced in October 2026. The opening runs in two stages:

Stage one · detailing November 13, 2026 Detailing services open: interior details and paint correction, with gloss measured in and out.
Stage two · full PPF December 8, 2026 Full paint protection film launch, with the filtered install bay commissioned and both film tiers available.

The method

The SERRES
protocol.

Six fixed steps, on every car, at every price. None of them is an upsell and none of them is skipped when the day runs long.

  1. Paint thickness gauged at intake

Before anything touches the car, every panel is read with an electronic thickness gauge and the numbers are recorded. Thin paint, filler and previous respray work show up here — not halfway through a correction pass.

  2. HEPA-filtered bay

The air in the install bay is HEPA-filtered before it reaches the car. A speck of dust trapped under paint protection film or vinyl is not a flaw you polish out later — it is permanent for the life of the film.

  3. Anti-static prep

Clean panels still pull dust out of the air. The anti-static prep step neutralizes the charge on the surface so the paint stops attracting the exact particles the filtered bay just removed.

  4. Filtered-air dry

After the final rinse the car is dried with filtered air, not towels. Nothing is dragged across decontaminated paint, and water is blown out of seams, badges and mirror bases before it can creep back under a freshly laid edge.

  5. Gloss measurement

Gloss is measured on the same panels, at the same points, before and after correction. Both readings go in your handover record. It is the difference between us telling you the paint improved and us showing you by how much.

  6. Photo documentation

Intake, mid-process and handover, photographed under the studio lights. The set goes to you with the car — which is also the record of the condition it arrived in.

The difference

Standards you
can measure.

Four principles that decide whether a car leaves the studio — or stays until it's right.

01

Obsessive
prep

Most of the work happens before the result shows. Decontamination, measurement and correction come first — every time.

02

Results
on display

Controlled hex lighting and panel-by-panel inspection. We show you the finish under the light, not just in photos.

03

Premium
materials

Only certified films, coatings and compounds — backed by real manufacturer warranties, never grey-market stock.

04

One
workshop

One point of contact from start to finish: the same team that quotes your car is the team that hands it back.

How it works

Three steps
to handover.

The same three whether it is a chrome delete or every painted panel on the car.

The consultation

Bring the car, or just the idea. We talk finishes, films, coverage and budget — and tell you honestly what is worth doing on your car and what is not.

The written scope

One document: the exact panels, the film tier, the timeline and the price. Every number on this site is published up front, so the quote holds no surprises.

The build

The protocol runs start to finish, with photos at every stage. The car goes back under the lights with you before the keys change hands.

Frequently asked questions

About the studio

What people ask before they hand over a car to a studio that has not opened yet.

Why is a Barcelona studio opening in Boca Raton?

Because South Florida is harder on paint than Barcelona is: year-round UV, salt air, love bugs and rock chips off I-95. The protocol we built in Barcelona was designed for exactly that kind of punishment, so we are bringing it over intact instead of starting again. Same two films, same warranty terms: Manufacturer film warranty (up to 10 years) + 1-year Serres installation warranty.

When does the Boca Raton studio open?

In two stages. Detailing services open on November 13, 2026, and the full paint protection film launch follows on December 8, 2026. The exact street address is announced in October 2026.

What does the SERRES protocol actually change?

Six fixed steps on every car, whatever it costs: paint thickness gauged at intake, a HEPA-filtered bay, anti-static prep, a filtered-air dry, gloss measured before and after correction, and a photo record of every stage. None of it is an optional extra and none of it is reserved for expensive cars.
