Terms of Service
What a published price covers, what a deposit does, and what the warranty is worth. Written the same way we quote: plainly, with the parts nobody has decided yet marked as undecided rather than filled with boilerplate.
Not legally reviewedThese terms describe how we intend to work and what the published price list already commits us to. They were not written or reviewed by a Florida attorney and they are not legal advice. The owner will have them reviewed before the studio opens.
- Prices exclude FL sales tax.
- “From” pricing = real price for a standard sedan in good condition — no bait pricing.
- Manufacturer film warranty (up to 10 years) + 1-year Serres installation warranty.
- Booking secured with a 30% deposit.
01Who these terms are between
These terms apply between SERRES Wrap Center — the vehicle protection studio opening in the Boca Raton area — and you, the person booking work on a vehicle. Booking a job, or paying a deposit, means these terms apply to that job.
They cover paint protection film, wraps, window tint and detailing. They do not cover anything you buy from our Barcelona studio, which trades under Spanish law and its own terms.
TODO(owner)The registered US entity name is not published yet and must replace the trading name here once it exists.
02Quotes, prices and tax
Every price on this site is published, and every one of them is a starting price for a real, standard car — not a teaser you can never actually book.
“From” pricing = real price for a standard sedan in good condition — no bait pricing.
Published price list · termsWhat moves a price is the car and its condition: panel count and size, paint that needs correcting before anything is sealed onto it, previous film or wrap that has to come off, and trim that has to come apart. That is why a published price becomes a firm price only once we have seen the vehicle — by photos first, then in the bay before work starts.
The firm quote we give you is the price of the job. If we find something on the car that changes it, we stop and tell you before carrying on; work you have not agreed to is never added to an invoice.
Prices exclude FL sales tax.
Published price list · termsFlorida sales tax is added on the invoice at the rate in force on the day. The full published list is on the pricing page.
03Booking and the 30% deposit
Booking secured with a 30% deposit.
Published price list · termsA date in the bay is held with a deposit of 30% of the agreed price. The deposit is part of the price, not an extra: it comes off the final invoice, and the balance is due when you collect the car.
Until the deposit is paid, a date is a conversation, not a booking. Film in particular is cut for a specific vehicle in a specific slot — the deposit is what lets us commit both to you.
TODO(owner)Whether the 30% booking deposit is refundable, and up to what point, has not been decided. It is left unstated here rather than guessed. The separate Founders Club reservation deposit below does have defined terms.
04Founders Club reservations
Before the studio opens, a limited number of places can be reserved in advance. A reservation is not a booking of a specific date — it holds your place and the price list, and we come back to you with a quote and a date.
- Refundable until work begins. The reservation deposit is returned in full if you change your mind at any point before we start work on the car.
- Applied to the final invoice. It is not a fee. Once the job is done it comes off what you owe.
- The discount is locked to the price list on the day you book. If our prices rise before your car comes in, yours does not.
- Limited to the first 30 cars. When those places are taken, the offer closes.
- One car per reservation. A reservation covers a single vehicle and is not transferable to another car.
The reservation page opens before the studio does. Until then nothing on this site takes a payment of any kind.
05Warranty
Manufacturer film warranty (up to 10 years) + 1-year Serres installation warranty.
Published price list · termsTwo separate things, and it is worth knowing which is which.
- The film warranty is the manufacturer's — up to ten years, depending on the film you choose. It covers the film as a product, on the manufacturer's own terms. The claim is against the manufacturer, and we handle it with them on your behalf.
- The installation warranty is ours — one year on the work itself. If an edge lifts, a seam opens or a panel shows an installation defect within that year, we put it right at our cost.
Neither warranty is damage cover: impact, road debris that goes through the film, chemical or mechanical damage from washing, or a repaint underneath are not installation defects. Nor does the installation warranty cover a car we did not install on.
TODO(owner)The exclusions above are a summary, not the full list, and the claims procedure is not written yet. Both need the current 3M and NAR warranty documents plus the attorney review before this section is final.
06Your vehicle while it is with us
Film and coating work needs a clean, controlled bay and, on longer jobs, an overnight cure. Your car stays with us for the length of the job, and we tell you that length before you leave it.
Bring the car with personal belongings removed. We work on the vehicle, not on its contents.
TODO(owner)Insurance, storage and liability while a vehicle is in our care are not drafted here. That section is for the attorney to write, not for a website to improvise.
07Changes and cancellations
Plans change. Tell us as early as you can and we will move the date if the slot can be filled.
We hold ourselves to the same standard: if something in the studio means we cannot start on the agreed day, you hear it from us as soon as we know — not when you arrive.
TODO(owner)Notice periods, rescheduling and no-show terms are not set yet, and neither is what happens to the 30% deposit in each case. They belong in this section once decided.
08Photographs of your car
We photograph most cars before and after — partly as a record of the vehicle's condition when it arrived, partly because the work is how the studio is judged.
If you would rather your car never appeared anywhere public, say so when you book and it will not. Plates are not published.
TODO(owner)Confirm this is how the US studio wants to handle it, and whether consent is captured at booking or on the intake sheet.
09Payment and Square
No payment is taken on this website. Deposits and invoices are handled by Square, on Square's own pages, and we never see or store your card number.
The balance is due on collection. Until it is paid, the vehicle stays with us.
What happens to the details you send us, and what Square does with a payment, is set out in our privacy policy.
10Governing law
The work is carried out in Florida, on vehicles in Florida, by a studio based there.
TODO(owner)The governing-law and venue clause is left to the reviewing attorney. We have deliberately not drafted one.
11Changes to these terms
These terms change when the way we work changes, and the date at the top of the page changes with them. The terms that apply to your job are the ones published on the day you booked it — a later change is not applied backwards to work already agreed.
The tax line, the deposit line, the warranty line and the meaning of a "from" price are generated from the same price list the rest of the site uses, so this page cannot quietly drift out of step with it.
Ask us anything
you are unsure of.
Nothing here is meant to be a surprise later. If a line is unclear, ask before you pay a deposit — that is what the quote conversation is for.
